LAWLI Podcast is committed to making its website and content usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to listen, read, apply, and take part, regardless of technology or ability.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. The website is largely conformant, which means most of the site meets the standard while a small number of known limitations remain, listed below. This is a self-assessment supported by automated testing; it is not a formal certification.
Measures We Take
- Automated accessibility scans on key public pages, with issues tracked and fixed;
- Keyboard navigation support, including visible focus indicators and skip-to-content links on every page;
- Descriptive labels on buttons, links, and form fields, including icon-only controls;
- Sensible heading structure and landmarks so screen readers can navigate efficiently;
- Sufficient colour contrast in the site's black, parchment, and gold palette; and
- Responsive design so the site works at mobile, tablet, and desktop sizes and under browser zoom.
Known Limitations
- Some embedded YouTube players rely on captions and controls provided by YouTube; we upload captions where possible, but the player experience itself is controlled by that provider.
- Some imagery displayed from Instagram may carry limited alternative text, because Instagram supplies the image and its own description.
- Some episode pages still have transcripts in progress; audio-only content is not yet fully text-alternative everywhere on the site.
We are working to close these gaps and will update this statement as they are resolved.
